ONV LAW
Short history
In 2000, two young lawyers united their ambition and expertise to establish a modern law firm dedicated to delivering exceptional legal services to corporate clients. At that time, Romania was not yet a member of the European Union, but multinational corporations were beginning to invest in the country’s key economic sectors.
From the beginning, our goal was to cultivate a culture centered on deep knowledge, unwavering professionalism, and a human-centric approach. We envisioned a firm where different generations of lawyers could excel, and the collective wisdom of diverse experts would be harnessed to serve our clients with excellence.
Over nearly 25 years, our practice has expanded to encompass 14 specialized areas of law, enabling us to resolve complex legal challenges for more than 300 multinational, local, and public companies.
Today, our steadfast commitment to diversity and collaboration is powerfully reflected in our partnership board, which is gender-balanced and spans generations.
In 2024, we opened our branch in Chișinău – Republic of Moldova to leverage foreign investment opportunities, particularly in sectors like IT, Business Process Outsourcing, automotive, retail, banking, and the tobacco industry.

This year, ONV LAW expanded its services to Chișinău and joined the Romanian Investors Association in Moldova, representing nearly all major investment sectors, including production, trade, finance, energy, and healthcare.

ONV LAW has been a key player in the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 2015. With over two decades of influence in the Romanian market, CCIFER boasts an impressive network of more than 500 member firms, spanning across vital industry sectors including energy, agriculture, banking, insurance, hospitality, construction, distribution, and accounting.
Since last year, Lorena Ciobanu has been a member of the European Employment Lawyers Association, a network uniting EU labor law experts. Her involvement provides invaluable expertise for our clients operating across multiple European jurisdictions or facing complex multinational employment law challenges.

Every year all our senior partners dedicate time, knowledge, and energy to the Share & Shape Mentorship Program for law students.
