Alexandru Ionascu has recently joined our team within the Business Law practice. Before entering the profession, he built over a decade of in-house corporate experience, acting as an internal specialist and business advisor to his employers on employment, corporate and compliance matters, and supporting their operations across more than 20 jurisdictions.
Throughout his in-house career he held senior operational and compliance roles, including Legal & Compliance Manager and Operations Manager, creating and coordinating internal frameworks globally, including North America, Europe and Asia. His corporate background includes developing international workforce policies, overseeing large-scale commercial contract negotiations, setting up foreign business entities and getting them ready to do business within complex international circumstances, and working with local outside counsel on cross-border disputes and regulatory investigations.
In the technology sector, he focused on the interaction between AI product commercialization and healthcare regulatory frameworks in the EU and UK, assessing data privacy and clinical safety liabilities, supporting clinical risk management, and preparing commercial and governance documentation (including NDAs, MSAs, DPAs and internal protocols).
Alexandru holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and a Master’s Degree (LL.M.) in Labor and Industrial Relations from the University of Bucharest, and an LL.M. in American and Transnational Law from the University of Dayton (Ohio, USA). In July 2026, he completed an Executive MBA at the Quantic School of Business and Technology. He has also completed professional programs in Employment Law, Immigration Law, Data Protection, Lean Six Sigma, and Executive Leadership.
