With a new year just around the corner, we would like to thank all our partners, clients, and friends in our community for their trust and support throughout 2024. Next year, we look forward to celebrating 25 years on the market and reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve had with all of you. It’s been a story of growth, trust, and shared success, and we can’t wait to continue building on these strong foundations in the years to come.

We consistently earned recognition in international rankings and more
ONV LAW continues to be recognized in the legal field as we are included in the top international rankings published by Legal 500 and IFLR 1000. This is a recognition of our team’s dedication, passion and hard work and inspires us to push further to make a meaningful impact through the quality and care we bring to every client.
Legal 500 recognized our professional experience in PPP & Public Procurement and Commercial, Corporate and M&A areas of practice, coordinated by our partners Alina Bilan and Mihai Voicu together with Sinziana Barbieru and Lorena Ciobanu.
IFLR 1000 recognized our professional experience in M&A and Project Development areas of practice coordinated by Mihai Voicu and Alina Bilan.
Our colleague, Alina Bilan, Partner and coordinator of the Public Procurement department, was rewarded with the TED Ambassador Award for her study on green procurement in Romania – “Buying Green? How a Green Public Procurement-dedicated law can do more harm than good”. The competition selected only 12 winners from around the world and it aimed to identify and reward research in the field of public procurement since high-quality research is crucial for fostering innovation, sustainability, and transparency in public procurement.
Mihai Voicu, Partner and coordinator of the Business Law department was reelected as Europe Board President of Legal Netlink Alliance, a global legal network that brings together 95 law firms and over 1,500 lawyers worldwide.
Radu Nemes, our Managing Partner was included for the second time this year in the “Top 100 most admired CEOs in Romania”, launched by Business Magazin.
We launched new projects
At the beginning of this year companies who wanted to enter and develop a business in the Republic of Moldova, turned to our legal team to help them, so we opened a new office in Chisinau.
We relaunched the Share & Shape program dedicated to law students, so this year a group of passionate law students joined our team in Bucharest to discover more about corporate, litigation, and public procurement law. They drafted documents, learned how to conduct proper research, attended court sessions, and simulated a real trial.
Mentorship played a key role, with our senior attorneys providing guidance and insights. We talked not only about the “book of the law”, but also had wonderful discussions about philosophical concepts and their impact on the practice of law. These conversations bridged the gap between legal theory and real-world application, fostering a deeper understanding of justice, ethics, and human nature. Through this approach, we aimed to inspire critical thinking, empathy, and a holistic perspective on the legal views of life.
We became partners of the Association of the Romanian Investors in the Republic of Moldova, with Radu Nemes, our Managing Partner, being a member of the Board of Directors of the Association.
A special project for us was the launch of our new brand identity, featuring a refreshed logo aligned with our values and aspirations, and a completely redesigned website. Our new brand motto Trust builds success encapsulates nearly 25 years of our dedication to excellence.
This rebranding reflects our commitment to professionalism, excellence, and the belief that strong business relationships are built on care for everyone involved. Our new image is more than a redesign – it’s a reaffirmation of our core values and vision to remain a trusted partner in all legal matters.

We shared our professional expertise at national and international events and helped journalists with info about the Romanian market in different industries. Also, our LinkedIn community grew, reaching almost 1500 followers, but you can find us on Instagram and Facebook. Our online community is very important to us and we felt our support in all our online communication.
We helped make a difference in the communities that need it most
Each year some of our colleagues participate in sports events and support different NGOs. This year they participated in the Brasov Semi Marathon and protected nature and environmental education, thus supporting the Romanian Association “Plant in Romania”.
Moreover, they also run in the LegalHalfMarathon relay to support several NGOs: Autism Voice, N-avem sange, Asociatia pentru Victimele Infractiunilor Sexuale, and the Social Incubator.
Each December we partner with an NGO to bring joy and happiness to children from disadvantaged communities in Romania. This year we had the privilege of bringing a little extra joy to some wonderful children in Alexeni village through “Bucurie in dar Association” and with the help of our colleagues we became Santa for children in Alexeni village.
